The German Flakpanzer 38(t) was a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun built on a Czech LT-38 tank. It entered service in late 1943 and was not very successful in its designated roll of warding off enemy aircraft. It was used more for infantry support and against lightly armored vehicles. Approximately 150 Flakpanzer 38s were built during the war.

Tristar's scale reproduction will fascinate the most fastidious modeler. Tristar loaded this kit with intricate detail, crisp decals & photo-etched parts. This Flak 38 late version has a new elevation gear box, swirl wheels, gun body and gun mount plus new gun scope. The gun shield is new tooling of the Flakpz 38(t)'s 20mm gun. It also includes the engine and transmission gear detail & extra ammunition. This kit comprises Tristar's user-friendly "Snap-fitted" individual track links and separated rim road wheels. The modelers can snap on the track-links one by one and paint wheel rims before snapping on to the wheel. This kit has 4 1/2 sets of new tooling plus new Panzer 38(t) engine, gear box and parts. The kits comprises 16 trees of plastic part plus decal set and photo etched parts. The kit boasts comprehensive painting instructions and with weathering detail applied the model reflects a near perfect miniature of this famous war machine.
